Hi, we are shopping for my girlfriend's next car and are considering a Civic. (among also a Fit and Civic Hybrid and a few Toyota offerings as well) and though I'd join here and try to get some first hand knowledge. I'm a former Honda dealership tech so I'm already partial to them.

What do you get in real world city driving gas mileage? This far, how reliable has your car been? Are there any major defaults/recalls? What do you typically spend in maintenance? How often is the scheduled oil change interval and what types of fluids are required? Stuff like that.

We're totally not interested in any kind of tuning, mods, or street racing. We're just looking for a daily driver.
