Ok, so how do you go about swapping out the rear drums on an EX for say, the discs found on the Si's?
I know it can be done, but im looking for maybe someone who has done it.

its really easy they just bolt right in. i put all 4 disc off a 92-93 gsr onto my crx.
just buy the whole trailing arm got mine for $100 for both then had to get the ebrake cables its like 4 bolts to pop them off throw on the new ones. and i might be wrong but all rear disc brakes are the same on tegs and civics minus the Type Rs. so if you find some LS rears its the same as those Si's
edit: you'll also need the new proportion valve, and it may be a good idea to lookinto the bigger master cylinder and brake booster |

For future reference you may want to specify year/make/model... make it easier... |

I used the rear assembly from a DA Integra on my EJ1. I took the whole trailing arm off both cars and bolted everythign in place. I also used the e-brake cable from the DA. I upgraded my brake lines at the same time to stainless steel and I think I ordered a set for my car with rear disc brakes. If I recall correctly the rotors for the DA are the same as the EH3, and the pads might be the same as well. For the brake booster and prop valve I went big since the car was being used for track duty and went with an all ITR set up on those.
But over all it is a simple job to do. Two bolts hold a dog bone in place up front and then the upper and lower control arms. |
